How long does it take to fill channels in brick?
The time depends on the number and length of the channels, as well as the condition of the walls. In a standard home, filling channels for electrical and plumbing installations usually takes from several hours to one working day. For larger sites or if additional reinforcements are needed, the period may be extended, but we always specify it in advance after an inspection.
What materials are used to fill the channels in a brick?
We use high-quality gypsum, cement or lime-cement mixtures, selected according to the type of room and the load on the wall. For dry interior rooms, we often apply gypsum mixtures, and for wetter areas and deep channels, we prefer cement solutions with greater strength. We always aim for optimal adhesion to the brick and minimal risk of cracking.
Can I putty and paint directly after filling the channels?
Yes, once the material has fully set and dried, the wall is ready for plastering, plastering or tiling. It is advisable to adhere to the drying time specified by the manufacturer of the mixture to avoid future defects. If necessary, we provide specific instructions on when finishing work can be continued after filling the channels.
